Lin Wilder
Lin Wilder is a Texas-based novelist whose path to fiction began not in a writing program but in healthcare. With a doctorate in Public Health from the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston and a background in cardiopulmonary physiology, medical ethics, and hospital administration, she spent more than three decades in academic healthcare administration and once served as Hospital Director at UMass Medical Center. After leaving hospital leadership she turned to fiction, building a career that spans two principal series: the Dr. Lindsey McCall medical mysteries — including The Fragrance Shed By A Violet, Do You Solemnly Swear?, A Price for Genius, Malthus Revisited, and Plausible Liars — and her ancient-world novels, I, Claudia, My Name is Saul, and The Reluctant Queen. She has also published Finding the Narrow Path, a memoir describing her journey away from God and back again. Her published biography lists recognition from the Feathered Quill, the Independent Author Network, the NABE Pinnacle Awards, Literary Titans, NN Lights, and Readers’ Favorite, and notes that The Reluctant Queen took first place in historical and religious fiction in Feathered Quill’s Best Books of 2022. Categorized on Goodreads under Mystery, Historical Fiction, and Thriller, she maintains a weekly blog on Christian topics and lives in the Texas Hill Country with her husband and dogs.
